Updated: Jun 28, 2023

The term Lip Blushing has become very popular in the last 2 years! Lip tattoos have been around for decades but the techniques have changed. This blog will go over all the facts about Lip Tattoos/ Lip Blushing!

Q: What is Lip Blushing/Tattoo?

Lip Blushing is a lip tattoo that enhances and defines your lips. It can help enhance and even out natural lip color, or add color if you are lacking any pigment (especially those lips who match surrounding skin tone). Your lips will look bolder and more like lipstick on the first day, and eventually soften as they heal to reveal a more subtle look, similar to a natural lip tint. The difference in the two techniques depend on how much pigment is deposited into the lips. Lip blushing requires a lighter layer of pigment giving it a more natural look, vs lip tattooing which can give you a bolder look.

Q: How long does Lip Blushing last?

Results vary depending on the person. They can last from 2-5 years depending on the amount of pigment deposited, the person, lifestyle, etc.. Permanent makeup pigment is different from conventional tattoo pigments, therefor your lips retain the pigment differently.
